Located in the heart of Boerne, Main Plaza remains the community park it was designated (in 1852) to be.

Just drop in at any one of our community events to see Boerne life on full display: Boerne Berges Fest, Boerne Village Band Concerts, Movie in the Park, Market Days (second Saturday of each month), Kendall County Fair Parade, or Boerne’s Christmas celebrations: Dickens on Main and Weihnachts Christmas Parade.

Upon returning home to Boerne in 2011, one my wishes (within the first year) was to sing the Star Spangled Banner at our Main Plaza. It came true when I, a Hispanic man, had the honor of singing our US National Anthem in my German-settled hometown, Boerne, TX… on Cinco de Mayo 2012. Only in America!

Since then, I’ve been privileged to share my voice at 5k races, car shows, Christmas programs, and other festivals held downtown.

My heart holds the Main Plaza (aka Main Square) near and dear. However, in addition to the singing opportunities, I also enjoy photographing, conversing with friends, and painting there.

A few years back, I had a great time painting part of Main Plaza. It was an enjoyable time appreciating the design and concept of the gazebo and water feature. Of course, interacting with people was enjoyable, too.

The original painting is now beautifully framed in solid oak and is available at The Christmas Shoppe in Boerne, Texas.

My painting setup isn’t complete without coffee—the most important design principle.
Here is one of many beautiful views of Main Plaza.
